History
The La Tarasque collection explores the narrative of a festive display, a popular tradition in the south of France. Originating in Tarascon, the legend of La Tarasque, celebrated annually by the locals, offers a theatrical space that questions the role of folklore, at the intersection of art history and the humanities. Cazalens explores this ritual effigy through a collection of adornments inspired by the inherited repertoire of this tradition.
